Raven is a member of the Teen Titans, the daughter of the interdimensional demon Trigon. Her mother Arella fled from Trigon to the peaceful temple of Azarath, where Raven, Arella's daughter by Trigon, was born. Azar, the spiritual leader of the temple, then took the young Raven under her personal tutelage, instructing her in the truth of her parentage, and in pacifism, meditation, and the submergence of her emotions to resist Trigon's influence, while perfecting her powers of teleportation, astral projection, and empathic healing. When Raven turned fourteen, she sensed Trigon's power returning and fled to Earth.
She arrived at Jump City, becoming a member of the Teen Titans.
FusionFall
Some time before the events of FusionFall: Worlds Collide, the Teen Titans had had hints that something dangerous was approaching the Cartoon Network universe. However, since they had no solid idea of what that something was, and were only peripherally involved in the CN universe anyway, they put the first indications of the Fusion attack out of their minds. Raven had gone out to sea to help her best CN friend Buttercup defeat Mojo Jojo. As a result of that fateful battle, Butttercup ended up in Marquee Row with her memory gone, while Raven landed in Nowhere.
Even before Fuse attacked, there was widespread concern about Raven and Buttercup (and several other characters who had gone missing), and Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, and Beast Boy were spread out through the Cartoon Network universe engaged on a search for them when the FusionFall began.
Raven has been unable to leave Nowhere, and has been reduced to taking Courage the Cowardly Dog on long walks. Even this solace was denied her when Fusion Raven appeared to steal his leash. Since then, Raven has descended to investigate the weird monsters that reside in the Catacombs.
