Amy Rose, also formerly known as Rosy the Rascal, is a fictional, anthropomorphic pink hedgehog from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. She has a major long-standing crush on Sonic the Hedgehog, and has been trying to win his heart by any means since meeting him. Such methods included impressing him by fighting robots, and threatening to leave him locked in prison. Introduced in the game franchise in 1993, Amy was the first — and most recurring — female character in the Sonic the Hedgehog series and is also one of the most popular characters, coming in fifth place on an official popularity poll, being the most popular female character.

Amy went searching for Sonic as soon as Fuse attacked. She looked everywhere but couldn't find him, causing her to retreat to Destiny Islands. Sonic contacted her when he reached Peach Creek Commons and told her to stay put, for it is dangerous to try and get back. Amy decided to listen to his orders, and is now relaxing on the beach.
Amy gives the mission "Love Is Forever!" In this mission, Amy's Piko Piko hammer was stolen in her sleep. She wants it back, and imagines that Sonic took it to attract her. Sonic informs the player he didn't take it, though Amy doesn't believe him. They both get into a big argument. Sonic then tells the player he saw a pair of Fusions with the hammer run underground. Sonic helps the player defeat Fusion Amy and Fusion Sonic. After this, Sonic and Amy's friendship is patched up, and Amy sends Sonic a rose through the player. Amy believes that Fusion Sonic and Fusion Amy's being together was a mere coincidence, and proves the love of the actual two. Sonic gags, and then Amy thanks the player. She then tells the player that she will move on to the player if Sonic doesn't work out. Players can get the Amy Nano from this mission, and as a reward, can get Amy's Piko Piko hammer, both as a Nano item and a weapon.
